Where we invest across the UK
Britain's industrial strength is spread across its regions. We look for good businesses wherever they are — these are the areas where we see particular depth.

The Midlands
The historic heart of British manufacturing, and still home to a dense network of precision engineers, fabricators, toolmakers and automotive and aerospace suppliers. Many are second- or third-generation family businesses with deep skills and long customer relationships — exactly the kind of firm we want to back through succession.
North West
A broad industrial base spanning advanced manufacturing, chemicals, energy, nuclear and aerospace supply chains, supported by a large population of specialist engineering and industrial services firms. We're interested in businesses that serve these demanding customers with accredited, hard-to-replicate capability.
Yorkshire
From steel and metal processing to food manufacturing equipment and engineering services, Yorkshire combines heritage industries with modern specialist manufacturing. Strong regional players here often have the potential to become platforms for wider growth.
North East
A region with a proud engineering tradition and growing roles in offshore energy, renewables, process industries and advanced manufacturing. Fabrication, maintenance and industrial services businesses here support some of the UK's most important infrastructure.
Scotland
Scotland's industrial economy includes energy and its supply chain, engineering, fabrication and specialist services across the Central Belt and beyond. Transition to renewables and grid investment is creating demand for capable installation, testing and maintenance businesses.
Wales
Wales has a significant manufacturing share of its economy, with strengths in metals, advanced materials, aerospace and automotive components, and industrial services. We see owner-managed businesses here with excellent capability and room to grow with the right support.
